Reroy Group Welcomes High-Level Visit Focused on Industrial Growth, TVET, and Women’s Empowerment
Reroy Group was honoured to welcome a high-level visit to its manufacturing facilities, providing an opportunity to showcase the company’s remarkable growth, world-class operations, and long-term vision for supporting Ghana’s industrial transformation.
The visit focused on gaining first-hand insight into Reroy Group’s expanding manufacturing capabilities while exploring opportunities for collaboration in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), workforce development, and initiatives aimed at increasing the participation of women in technical and industrial careers.
During the visit, discussions centred on the vital role that industry plays in supporting national development and creating sustainable employment opportunities for young people. Particular attention was given to strengthening partnerships that bridge the gap between education, skills development, and industry requirements, ensuring that Ghana’s future workforce is equipped with the practical knowledge needed to drive economic growth.
The delegation toured Reroy Group’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, where the company produces a wide range of high-quality aluminium and copper cables, power cables, and electrical conductors that serve critical infrastructure projects across Ghana and beyond. The visit also included an inspection of Reroy Group’s newly established transformer manufacturing facility—one of the largest and most advanced facilities of its kind on the African continent. The facility represents a significant milestone in Ghana’s industrialisation journey and demonstrates the company’s continued investment in local manufacturing, technology, and innovation.
The management and staff of Reroy Group were commended for their unwavering commitment to excellence and their significant contribution to Ghana’s industrial development. Through continuous investment in modern manufacturing technologies, quality assurance, and local capacity building, the company continues to strengthen Ghana’s position as a leading manufacturing hub within the region.
The visit also reinforced the importance of aligning government policy with practical implementation and measurable outcomes. Meaningful collaboration between the public and private sectors remains essential to creating an enabling environment where businesses can thrive, industries can expand, and employment opportunities can increase. Constructive dialogue between policymakers and manufacturers helps ensure that national development strategies translate into tangible economic growth and long-term industrial success.
A key highlight of the engagement was the recognition of women-owned and women-led businesses as powerful drivers of economic development. Reroy Group, under the visionary leadership of Madam Kate Quartey-Papafio, stands as a testament to the transformative impact of female leadership in Ghana’s manufacturing sector. As one of the country’s leading industrial enterprises, the company continues to demonstrate that excellence, innovation, and resilience know no gender.
The discussions further underscored the importance of encouraging more women to pursue careers in engineering, manufacturing, and other technical professions that have traditionally been male-dominated. By investing in education, mentorship, skills development, and inclusive employment practices, Ghana can unlock the enormous potential of women and young people to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Reroy Group remains committed to supporting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives and creating pathways for young professionals to gain practical industrial experience. The company believes that developing a highly skilled workforce is fundamental to building a competitive manufacturing sector capable of meeting both domestic and international demand.
As Reroy Group continues to expand its manufacturing capacity and technological capabilities, it remains dedicated to driving industrial innovation, creating quality employment opportunities, empowering the next generation of skilled professionals, and contributing to Ghana’s economic transformation. The visit reaffirmed the shared vision of government and industry to build a stronger, more inclusive, and industrialised Ghana through strategic partnerships, investment in people, and sustainable manufacturing excellence.
